Holly Berry CandleHolly Berry Candle

What you will need:

1. Red rickrack
2. Green tissue paper
3. White pillar candle
4. Red tissue paper
5. Hole punch
6. Elmer’s glue
7. Water
8. Hot glue gun and glue sticks
9. Scissors
10. Cotton swabs

Directions:

1. Plug in the hot glue gun and put it on a piece of newspaper (hot glue guns tend to leak glue).
2. With the scissors cut three leaves out of the green tissue paper. The leaves should be holly leaf shaped.

3. With the hole punch, punch out three red circles for the holly berries.
4. Repeat steps three and four, two more times so that you have a total of nine leaves and nine red circles.
5. In a container that you can throw away, mix together the water and glue in equal amounts.
6. On the back of one of the leaves carefully rub on the glue and water mixture with a cotton swab.
7. Glue this onto the pillar candle carefully because the tissue paper will tear easily when it is wet.
8. Repeat steps six and seven two more times so that you have a three-leaf arrangement on the candle.
9. Dab glue onto the back of three of the red dots with a cotton swab.
10. Glue the dots in the middle of the leaves in a triangular arrangement so that they look like holly berries.
11. Repeat steps 6 through 10 two more times so that you end up with three groups of holly on the candle.
12. Allow the glue to dry. 13. Wrap the red rickrack around the top of the pillar candle.
14. Glue the rickrack together with the glue gun; be careful not to get the hot glue on the candle because it will melt it.

15. Do the same thing for the bottom of the candle.
16. Allow the hot glue to cool.
