Rustic Candle Cheer

What you will need:

1. Green pillar candle
2. Scissors
3. Hot glue gun and glue sticks
4. Paper
5. Pieces of tree bark
6. Glue stick
7. Raffia; at least five strands

Directions:

1. Plug in the hot glue gun and put on top of a piece of newspaper.
2. Gather and sort through the tree bark, keep pieces that are somewhat bendable and thin. You will also want varied shades of bark so keep that in mind.
3. Use the scissors to cut the tree bark into various lengths.
4. Cut a strip of paper that will go about two-thirds of the way up the candle.
5. Glue the strip of paper together with the glue stick so that it is wrapped around the candle.
6. Use the hot glue gun to glue the pieces of bark to the candle. Only put glue on the paper that is wrapped around the candle.
7. Continue gluing on bark until the paper is completely covered.
8. Allow the hot glue to cool.

9. Take the strands of raffia and match the ends to each other.
10. Wrap the raffia around the middle of the candle and tie a bow.
11. Cut any excess raffia.
