Snowflake Card
No
two snowflakes are the same and neither are any two kids, so you
can make hundreds of these cards and they will all be unique. The
kids will enjoy cutting out snowflakes for hours and the people
who receive the card will enjoy getting a unique handmade card.
What you will need:
White paper
Blue construction paper
Scissors
Glue
Patterned edge scissors
Directions:
Cut the white paper into 3x3 inch squares.
Show the kids how to fold them. Fold it into a triangle by holding
the square so that it looks like a diamond. Fold the top corner
down to the bottom corner.
Now it will look like a triangle. Place the paper so that the
longest edge of the triangle is at the bottom.
Fold the right hand corner over to the left hand corner.
Let the kids cut shapes out of the edges with the scissors.
Remind them that they should not cut shapes in the corners. Unfold
the paper.
Cut a strip out of the construction paper that is four and a half
inches wide.
Now cut the strip so that it is eight and a half inches long.
Fold the blue construction paper in half so that it looks like a
card.
Create a pattern along the bottom by cutting a small strip with
the patterned edge scissors.
Glue the snowflake onto the blue construction paper.
