Christmas Crafts/ Christmas Ornaments

VICTORIAN FAN ORNAMENT

Materials needed:

Wired edge ribbon at least 2.5 inches wide
Lace with a pretty edge
Pearl strands
Small silk/dried flowers
Sequins
Ribbons
Small decorative buttons
Hot glue or fabric glue

Directions:

~Fold the ribbon or lace accordion style, the length of ribbon depends on how full you want your fan, (there is no right or wrong size)
~While folded (if using lace) iron the lace, use a bit of spray starch for stiffer, long lasting pleats if you like, secure one end (not the decorative edge if you are using lace) with a couple stitches or a staple
~Fluff out your fan, using glue, embellish the secured end with pearl strands small silk/dried flowers sequins, long flowing ribbons & bows or even small pretty buttons, use your imagination and have fun!

This project is fast & fun, there is a huge selection of ribbons & lace to choose from, to match your own Christmas decor! I myself do not make hangers for the fans, it is much easier to just tuck them in between the branches and serve as pretty little fillers, they can also adorn the outside of a wrapped Christmas gift.
