Wrapping Christmas Gifts can be more fun this year! If your
Christmas gifts look like they have come out of a gift-wrapping
factory, it’s time to give your gift wrapping sessions an
interesting twist. Teach your old box some new tricks this year
and make gift-giving more enjoyable for yourself as well as the
receiver of the gift.
Pleated Effect
Going with the colors of the season, choose festive colors such as
red, green, blue, silver or golden. Red and Green still dominate
the Christmas gifts scenario. While wrapped boxes can be adorned
with a variety of decorations to give them a special look, a
creative way to make your gift look different is to give a pleated
effect to your base gift-wrapping paper.
To achieve this look, roughly wrap the paper around your gift box
and mark the place where you want the pleats to start. Now, unwrap
the paper, lay it down straight and start pleating it from the
marked spot, creasing every pleat properly. Wrap the gift with
this pleated paper. This technique requires extra wrapping paper
on the side of the pleats.

Golden Lines
A wrapped gift box can be given a beautiful look by simply
wrapping three golden ribbons breadth wise. A neat, simple and
elegant look apt for this time of the year. If your box is fairly
large and rectangular in shape, you can make a ‘Basket-Weave
Pattern’ by wrapping 3 more ribbons length wise and inter-weaving
them with the first three.
Gift Toppers
A simply wrapped gift can be made more attractive by adding a Gift
Topper. Fresh or Artificial evergreen sprigs complete with flowers
or berries look very pretty. You can also use a variety of
Christmas ornaments to adorn the gifts with. Other festive Gift
Toppers are Jingle Bells, miniature wreaths, pompoms etc.
