Favorite Christmas Party Games

To liven up your gatherings this holiday season, why not try some Christmas themed games? There are lots of games that are fun for all ages, from eight to eighty! Here are a few of our favorite Christmas party games that anyone can play:

Musical Gift Game

This is a holiday variation on the classic game “Musical Chairs.” Have all your guests sit in a circle. Then pass around a wrapped gift while playing a Christmas song. Stop the music at some point in the song. Whoever is holding the gift gets to keep it!

Christmas Movie Trivia

With Christmas movie trivia, create a list of questions that relate to popular Christmas movies like It's a Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th Street, and A Christmas Carol. For the little ones, why not try trivia from animated classics like Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer or Frosty the Snowman? The person who gets the most questions correct wins a prize, of course!

Christmas Pictionary

This is played just like regular Pictionary, except the pictures must be holiday themed. You could even try a Christmas carol variation, where players attempt to draw Christmas carols.

Pin the Nose on Rudolph

Pin the Nose on Rudolph is a variation of the traditional game, Pin the Tail on the Donkey. This game can be fun for kids and adults alike! Try using a fabric cutout of Rudolph and a nose that attaches with Velcro. Blindfold each contestant and spin them around three times, then let them take a crack at it! The player who gets closest to the correct location wins.

Charades

Charades is a classic game where players try to act out what they are trying to say. Try Charades with a Christmas theme. For example, a person could try to act out the word 'reindeer,' 'Santa Claus,' or 'snowman.”

Find Santa

This is a great game for kids. Hide a small Santa figurine and send the kids to go look for it. The first one to find Santa wins! Alternatively, you could use a snowman.

As you can see, there are a variety of fun Christmas games for all ages to enjoy! Get creative and make up your own game. Or, take a favorite game and give it a holiday twist! Games can liven up any Christmas party and give your guests something to do. Kids love games, and can be kept busy and entertained for hours this way!
