Boston Cookies

Makes 5 dozen

Ingredients:

1-1/2 c brown sugar
1 c shortening
3 eggs
3-1/2 c flour
pinch of salt
1 tsp soda dissolved in
1/2 c raisin juice
1 c coconut
1-15 oz box raisins (boiled, cooled, and drained)

Method:

1. Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and beat well.

2. Add flour, salt, and soda dissolved in raisin juice. Mix well.

3. Stir in coconut and raisins.

4. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
