Day Dinner Menu
Green Bean Casserole
Ingredients:
1 lb. frozen French cut green beans, thawed
1 cup milk
1-28 oz. can French's French Fried Onions
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Onion Paste (recipe included)
For Onion Paste:
1 Onion
2-3 pods garlic
1/2 cup Vegetable Stock
Mixed herbs, salt and pepper
1 tbsp. Butter
Method:
Onion Paste: Sauté onions in butter. Add garlic and
cook for 1 min. Add vegetable stock and cook till onions are
tender. Add herbs, salt and pepper. Cool and grind to a fine paste.
In a greased casserole, combine half of the French
fried onions with all of the ingredients and stir well to combine.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 15-20 minutes or until bubbly. Sprinkle
the remaining French fried onions over the top of the casserole and
bake an additional 5 minutes or until onions are crisp and golden
brown.
Serves 6.
